SERVING VACAVILLE YOUTH OR VUSD ENROLLED YOUTH AGES 7-18
I have been a Police Officer with the City of Vacaville since 2015. I am honored to be a member of the PAL Board. I decided to become a member of PAL so I can help promote trust and understanding between youth and law enforcement and to also be a positive mentor to our youth.
I am a current member of the PAL Board of Directors and have secured grants close to $100,000 in grant funding for PAL programs. I am actively involved in the community as the Youth Development Chairperson for the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association of Solano County training and supervising over 40 Interns in civic engagement. I am a past president and scholarship chair of the Chinese American Association of Solano County which has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships to college-bound students over the last 24 years. My awards include the San Francisco Giants Foundation Willie Mac Award, Travis Air Force Base Hometown Hero, and Vacaville PAL Volunteer of the Year. I am a graduate of UC Berkeley and received my Master's in Social Work (MSW) from San Francisco State University. Being a board member of PAL has allowed me to support the development of young people in Vacaville through free and low-cost programs and promote healthy and safe communities.

Youth are our future and we learn so much from being around them. Any opportunity we have, we need to stay involved, give them hope, leadership, guidance. P.A.L. gives us the opportunity to do this. I am proud of this organization, what it provides, and the board members I serve alongside.
I was a police officer with the Vacaville Police Department for 25 years. Eleven of those years, I was assigned with the Youth Services Section as a School Resource Officer. I have been on the PAL board of directors for over 10 years. I believe in the Youth of Vacaville and I'm committed to the fundraising efforts to financially support Vacaville PAL program.

As a local Financial Planning Advisor I have had the pleasure of serving many Police and Fire families in their future planning. A common thread exists among these families - a heart to serve. Through these relationships I was introduced to Vacaville PAL and the opportunity to serve alongside like-minded individuals. I can think of no greater need(s) in every community than to 1) provide opportunities for our youth to be nudged toward a safe & positive path as citizens and 2) building trust between law enforcement and citizens. I am honored, as a PAL board member, to be able to support these goals.

I grew up in Eugene, OR (Go Ducks!), and moved to California after HS graduation to play football. After finishing up College at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, I moved to the North Bay for a little bit before making Vacaville my home.Although I was not born in Vacaville, there is a reason I have lived here for over 20 years, and plan to make this my “Forever Home”. There is a great sense of Community and Safety here in Vacaville.I was humbly honored when I was asked to join the Board of Directors of the Vacaville Police Activities League. I believe it is so important for our youths today to have positive role models and feel safe in our society. There is nothing better than providing kids with Safety, Comfort, and a Smile.
